RentFix collects the following information to provide landlord maintenance management services:

• Property Information: Property addresses, unit numbers, and related details you enter
• Tenant Information: Names, phone numbers, and email addresses (only what you provide)
• Work Order Data: Maintenance requests, photos, descriptions, and status updates
• Contractor Information: Names, contact details, and service history
• Financial Records: Expense amounts, categories, and dates (optional)

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used solely for:

• Managing maintenance work orders and contractor assignments
• Generating QR codes for tenant maintenance submissions
• Tracking expenses for tax reporting (Schedule E)
• iCloud synchronization across your devices

3. Data Storage

Local-First Architecture: All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

iCloud Sync: Optional iCloud synchronization uses Apple's CloudKit service. Data is stored in your private iCloud container.

No Third-Party Servers: We do not operate our own servers or share data with third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your information to outside parties. Your data is yours alone.

5. Tenant Submissions

When tenants submit maintenance requests via QR code:

• Data is transmitted directly to your device via iCloud or AirDrop
• No data passes through RentFix servers (we have none)
• Tenant contact information is stored only on your device

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access all data stored in the app
• Export data via CSV or PDF reports
• Delete all data by uninstalling the app
• Disable iCloud sync in device settings

7. Security

Data is protected by:

• iOS device encryption (when passcode is enabled)
• iCloud end-to-end encryption (for sensitive data)
• No internet-facing servers to compromise

8. Children's Privacy

RentFix is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. Changes will be reflected in the app and on this page.
